Who we are

The Cottage, 31 Newhouse Road, Marton, Blackpool FY4 4JH, is the controller for personal information collected through this website and the ordering site.

This website

This website, thecottage.co.uk, sets no cookies and asks for no personal information. We keep no record of who visits.

The ordering site

Orders for collection are taken on orders.thecottage.co.uk, which is run for us by Square. When you order, Square processes your name, contact details and payment to fulfil the order; we see what we need to prepare and hand over your food. Square’s privacy notice applies to the ordering site: https://squareup.com/gb/en/legal/general/privacy. The ordering site uses cookies and shows its own consent banner.

Table bookings

Table bookings are taken through Resos. Your name, contact details and booking are processed to hold the table. Resos publishes its own privacy notice on its website.

How long we keep things

Order and booking records are kept for as long as accounting rules require, then deleted. Allergy notes you give us are used for that order only.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Ask at the shop or write to the address above.
